Andrew Blay
SVP of Strategy
Born and raised in LA, Andrew developed a strong interest in international affairs and travel at an early age and pursued those interests at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service where he studied the impacts of scientific and technological innovation on international trade and development. He continued to hone his interests and knowledge as an investor in NYC, specializing in transportation and logistics companies for 8+ years.
As SVP of Strategy, Andrew works closely with all our teams across countries and divisions while developing and leading strategic planning and initiatives, including organic growth and M&A. He is responsible for overseeing GCL’s M&A activity and strengthening the platform, supporting our teams and offices globally through data-driven analysis and decision-making on financial, commercial, operational, and people matters.
Since working on ATL’s acquisition of Rock-it in 2018, Andrew has successfully led and closed 10+ acquisitions for GCL, including Dynamic, ADF, CARS, Xtreme, Dell Will, Time Frame, Triple M, and SOS. Throughout his career, Andrew has worked on 25+ transactions with a combined value of over $4 billion.
Andrew currently resides in LA with his wife. You can often find them playing tennis, waterskiing, DJing, cooking, or playing with their dogs.
