Amanda Barlow Joins GCL

Amanda Barlow has been named as the new VP of Risk Management and Business Affairs for Global Critical Logistics’ family of market leading brands including Rock-it Global, Dietl, Dynamic International, CARS, and Cosdel.

Global Critical Logistics (GCL) has announced the appointment of Amanda Barlow as Vice President of Risk Management and Business Affairs.

Barlow, who previously served as Senior Vice President with Roanoke Insurance Group, joined GCL on Monday, October 2nd, bringing with her a wealth of experience to support the continuing growth of the GCL family of brands.

She will provide leadership in managing the group’s various insurance programs, spearhead development and coordination of the company’s global ATA Carnet programs to promote future growth and provide subject matter expertise across the company’s brands.

“Amanda has her finger on the pulse of the industry and boasts an impressive portfolio of expertise in client experience and product development that we’re keen to leverage,” said Daniel Rosenthal, President and Chief Executive Officer, GCL.

“She is also uniquely suited to lead our ATA Carnet program as she was directly involved in the development of the U.S.’s ATA Carnet program during her time with Roanoke, liaising with the U.S. Council for International Business.”

In addition to her new role at GCL, Barlow is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Airforwarders Association (AFA) and chairs the AFA’s Technology and Cybersecurity committee.

Furthermore, Barlow sits on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s District Export Council (DEC) of Southern California, where she supports the U.S. Government’s export promotion efforts.

“I am delighted to follow in my father’s footsteps and join the transportation side of the business. GCL’s innovative, dynamic, and people-centric culture is a perfect fit for me,” said Barlow.

“With the GCL group being the largest ATA Carnet user in the U.S., I’ve had the privilege of working closely with the team over the years. I am looking forward to joining this talented team who is a market leader in high-touch freight-forwarding and logistics, serving international markets for the live event, music touring, sports, motor sports, fine art, film, television, broadcast, and high-end automotive industries.”

Rock-it Global was recently chosen by the U.S. Council to pilot the eATA Carnet program, the U.S.’s first-ever digitalized version of the ATA Carnet, an innovation Barlow helped develop.

The Rock-it Global team will be piloting the new eATA Carnet in the near-future, marking the next chapter in the modernization of U.S. and global customs facilitation, and helping cement the company’s position as a global leader in innovation for ATA Carnets.
